What is a Challenge Coin?

Since WWI challenge coins have been timeless symbols of loyalty, unity, and honor. They are given to and carried proudly by service members, first responders, patriots, and heroes of every kind. Even corporations and charities have their own challenge coins!

Can I personalize or customize a coin?

No. The U.S. Challenge Coin was designed by the renowned Don Everhart II, former sculptor & engraver for The Franklin and U.S. mints. Each coin is a work of art to stand the test of time.

Do you offer custom coin designs for groups and organizations?

Not at this time. In the future, we would be honored to work with military units, police and fire departments, nonprofits, and other patriotic groups to create custom coins that tell their story.

How are coins packaged?

Every coin is carefully handled and placed in a velvet pouch that you can store your collectible inside. all coins are throughly wrapped in packing material before placed in shipping packages to protect them against handling and processing during the shipping process.

How long does shipping take?

We look to process all orders with in 1-3 business days and prepare your challenge coin for shipping. Standard domestic shipping (with in the USA) can expect delivery times from 3-8 days from the date your order has been processed.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We are proud to send our coins across the world, wherever there are patriots and proud supporters. International rates and delivery times vary.

What is the U.S. Challenge Coin?

The U.S.Challenge is the first-ever challenge coin for ALL Americans and people who honor our country’s history and all its heroes. Minted in commemoration of the 250th Anniversary (Semiquincentennial) of the founding of the United States, anyone can own them or offer them as special gifts to family, friends and those who deserve them.

Can I buy it as a gift?

Absolutely! U.S. Challenge Coins make wonderfully meaningful and heartfelt gifts for any occasion. Owning or giving the gift of history, honor, and charity is what U.S. Challenge Coin is all about. There is no limit to how many U.S. Challenge Coins you can purchase. Who you give them to is up to you!

Are these coins limited edition?

Yes. Our coins are minted and issued in limited numbers with unique numbering on each coin to protect their meaning and value. Once they’re gone, they become a piece of history, just like the stories and heroes they represent.

Can I choose my coins unique numbers?

No. U.S. Challenge Coins are struck in sequential order starting with the first coin off the press. This is part of the unique value of owning one. First come, first serve. If you’d like to have lower numbered coins, order now to secure the lowest numbers available!

What size are the coins?

There are currently 2 coin sizes.

The Founder's Package includes two coins. The edge numbered 250th Anniversary Challenge Coin. In addition to a Founder's which is only available to this package. The Founder's coin is 1.5" and 8 gauge thickness. Only a total of 250 founders coins were minted and serve as the original design and prototype for the 250th Anniversary Coin.

The 250th Anniversary Challenge Coin is a large 2.5" deep relief medallion.

The coins feature the designers initials, DE, Don Everhart II.

What materials are your coins made from?

Our coins are struck from durable, high-grade metals like brass, copper, and zinc alloy. They are built to last as long as the memories they represent.

We hope to expand our selection to additional precious metals in the future.

What charities does this support?

U.S. Challenge Coin’s first partner charitable organization is the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org) which honors firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001, and our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. U.S. Challenge Coin will continue to add partner’s to its charity initiatives over time through the input given by our coin holders.
